Justin was recently 'tested' for the 'Max Repetititions, bench press with a 45 pound bar. The old record was 176 reps. Justin SHATTERED the record, performing &lt;span style="color:#ff0000;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;256 reps!!!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I think it must have been all those push-ups you do at Mt Baker CrossFit, Justin!. I guarantee you, Justin trains harder than any other Bulldog athlete, and the proof is in his new record.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color:#000000;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Justin trains at least 3 times a week at Mt Baker CrossFit at 5:30am. (Actually- 3 CrossFitters competed!  See &lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 153, 0);"&gt;Joan Penney's&lt;/span&gt; story below)  The event was sponsored by the Anacortes Arts Foundation and The City of Anacortes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The half marathon was scheduled to start at 9am and the weather was perfect! Cool, cloudy and a slight breeze. At 9 am, &lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 255);"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Cezanne&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;and &lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 255); font-weight: bold;"&gt;Michelle&lt;/span&gt; were positioned at the front of the pack on the starting line and they never looked back.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;They finished &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"&gt;1st and 2nd in their age group&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;, 5th and 6th amongst all women and 14th and 15th overall!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Later, Cezanne emailed me and said she wasn't sure if it was the pink tank top or the o' so beautiful workouts that made her run so fast!  Hmmmm....I think it was all YOU.  Your dedication, effort, and desire to be the very healthiest you can be.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;CrossFit creates the road map....you are choosing to follow the path.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Awesome work, Michelle and Cezanne. Baker CrossFitter to complete the workout 'Mary' (5 handstand push-ups, 10 one-leg squats, alternating legs, 15 pull-ups..complete as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes) performing 11 rounds!!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Michelle, and her training partners, &lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 102, 0);"&gt;Cezanne, Stacy &lt;/span&gt;and &lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 0);"&gt;Danielle&lt;/span&gt; train Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 5:30.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Michelle, it is a pleasure to watch you perform as you strive to do your best!!! Patsy was a Parachute Rigger 1st Class. One morning while riding her bicycle she was struck by a pickup truck and sustained 'life changing' injuries to both legs.  Patsy endured several surgeries requiring screws, plates and rods in her lower legs and ankles. She was left with minimal ROM in both ankles and became overweight and deconditioned.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;During the next several years, the once active &lt;span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 204, 204);"&gt;Patsy Galbreath&lt;/span&gt; became depressed and unhappy due to her physical condition. She gained nearly 100 pounds.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When I met Patsy, I was 'touched' by her concerns and goals.  She wanted to perform physical tasks that you and I take for granted; Long walks, jogging, jump rope.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One day, with tears in her eyes she asked, "Skip, do you think I will ever be able to run again?" I said, "Patsy, we will both work hard, and take one step at a time."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Patsy began training at Mt. Just the drive (about 5 hours) is tiring!&lt;br /&gt;Today,  Travis and Cezanne Ashby returned from a holiday weekend in Spokane.  BEFORE they even drove to their home, what did Cezanne want to do.........she wanted to CrossFit!!!  YEAH, that's the CrossFit Spirit. Mt. Baker CrossFitter to the Soul!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cezanne completed her 3 rounds of the warm-up and asked what was her work-out. I told her, while she was in Spokane her training partners Michelle Frey, Danielle Hester and Stacy Chapin performed the workout 'Murph' on Monday. BUT, since she just made a loooooong trip from the far side of the state, she could do something else.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;NOT A CHANCE!!! Stacy trains with Michelle Frey, Cezanne Ashby and Danielle Hester. Baker  CrossFit'r/Golf Pro</title><content type='html'>I received an email today from Dave Bobillot.  Dave is a golf pro at Skagit Golf and Country Club in Burlington, WA. and he and his wife, Lacey,  train with us at Mt. Baker CrossFit.  Dave is in AZ for 6 weeks.   Dave said, "Golf UPdate: Shoulder has felt well enough to use the 'Big 'Stick'. (driver).   Shot 69 (3 under par) on Sunday. Irons were solid. Putting solid. Core and legs are stronger which allows less effort in the swing and produces longer shots off the tee."     Great news, Dave!!!     How about 'Tabata' drives....you line up 20 balls on tees and have to drive 1 a second for 20 seconds.  Actually, the person getting the workout is the caddy who has to tee 20 balls during the 10 second rest..........(FLASH)....it looks like our move to the new location is final...the contractor/owner began the final buildout today.
